CHP Istanbul Deputy Barış Yarkadaş said, “It is visible from the reports that Hüsnü Mahalli’s immune system may also shut down. This risk, has developed an ‘autoimmune disease’ and caused inflammation. This inflammation brings the paralysis risk with it.”
CHP Media Commission Member Barış Yarkadaş started his words at his press conference in the GNAT, by congratulating Istanbul police department on their successful operation in the capture of the Reina Nightclub massacrist. Yarkadaş said “Turkish police always prevails, when ever they can spare their energy to focus on capturing terrorists. Just the night before, they have achieved a great success by capturing a professional murderer. Unfortunately; Turkish police’s energy is being wasted on tracing social media accounts.”
63 thousand individuals are being traced
The Social Media Tracing Unit that has been established within the law enforcement, have filed reports on 17 thousand 800 people argued Yarkadaş and said “Another 45 thousand 400 people’s home addresses are being examined, and their identities are trying to be revealed. Around three thousand policemen are wasting their energy with tracing 63 thousand people online.”
‘Who will be brought to account for the 24 days?’
Yarkadaş reminded the public that six journalists have been taken into custody 24 days ago over what they shared in the social media. Yarkadaş also said “Three of them, within the next couple of days will be informed of what they are being charged with and the actual trial phase will commence. Who will be brought to account for the harsh treatment against the other three individuals, who were recently set free, during their time in custody for the past 24 days?”
‘Health complications are increasing’
Yarkadaş who expressed the fact that Hüsnü Mahalli also got arrested over what he shared on the web has also said “His bill of indictment hasn’t been prepared yet; he is facing new complications regarding his health daily.”
Yarkadaş made public the latest health report for Yurt Newspaper columnist- Halk TV producer Hüsnü Mahalli and added “This report was prepared at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Neurology Derpartment. I am disclosing this report with the consent of Hüsnü Mahalli himself.”
‘His immune system is collapsing’
Yarkadaş who argued that Hüsnü Mahalli’s health report should be taken very seriously continued with the words:
“Blood count is being performed on Hüsnü Mahalli every three days. Since his blood count appeared to be low in yesterdays count, they are planning to perform biopsy to his bone marrow. Mahalli is having difficulties walking and balancing himself. Within this period of time, it was established that various blood vessel diseases have also developed. It is blatant that Hüsnü Mahalli’s immune system might slowly deteriorate. This risk was caused due to an autoimmune disease. This disease which causes an inflammation might also trigger paralysis. Mahalli is facing a risk of becoming paralyzed.”
Yarkadaş also stated that while they were conducting a blood count on Mahalli, an unidentified cell was also detected. He continued by saying:
“What does all of this mean? According to the report prepared by Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Mahalli is running a risk of becoming paralyzed… Our journalist fellow Mahalli can no longer perform squats.. For this reason, prosthesis implementation is necessary. However; in the hospital cell he is being held in, there are four gendarmerie officers and a guardian. Under these conditions giving such medical treatment is impossible.”
‘Stress-free environment is a must, but…’
Hüsnü Mahalli is struggling with a variety of diseases reminded Yarkadaş and said “In order for Mahalli’s MS disease to be cured, a stress-free environment is necessary. However, the noise factor and the lacking hygiene at the hospital helps his MS to improve and compromises his health.”
Yarkadaş also said “At the hospital where Mahalli is being detained, 20 people use a single bathroom. This is a proof that the hygiene standards required for curing MS are not met. Mahalli, due to his prisoner status, can’t get food from outside which leaves him undernourished.”
‘Fatal mistake on ministry documents’
Yarkadaş who called out to the Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ have said:
“Mahalli’s bill of indictment shall swiftly be prepared and he should be immediately released. There is a strangeness regarding the things that took place after Mahalli’s arrest. Although Mahalli was arrested for defaming the President and the Statesmen, a different reasoning has been made for his arrest when filing the reports in the records of the Justice Ministry.
According to the records of Penalty Apprehension Houses General Directorate, Hüsnü Mahalli is being perceived as a suspect for FETO terrorist organization. Yet, there is no indication for such accusations throughout his apprehension and incarceration. Aside from the fact that Mahalli has no ties to FETO, no accusations of any sort were directed to him regarding this during his incarceration. The ministry officials have carelessly and imprecisely wrote down Hüsnü Mahalli’s name on the document that was initially prepared for FETO suspects. This mistake should be corrected immediately.”
Yarkadaş ended his speech by informing the public that Hüsnü Mahalli’s lawyers Turan Aydoğan, Muhterem Aktaş and Batur Poyrazoğlu will appeal to the court for his release once again tomorrow.
