CHP Istanbul Deputy Barış Yarkadaş stated that baby Miraz who is forced to live in prison, is facing distress.
CHP Deputy Barış Yarkadaş who continued his campaign in Ümraniye, visited the complexes in the area along with District Head Cafer Aktürk and asked for the residents’ no votes.
The ordeal for the baby doesn’t cease
CHP’s Yarkadaş who made comments over the social media afterwards, drew attention to Miraz’s ordeal, who has to live in prison since his mother is detained.
His father told the story
Yarkadaş who stated that he met with the baby’s father listened to their problems, said:
“Baby Miraz’s ordeal doesn’t cease… An eight month old baby is being deprived of his fundamental rights. The father of the baby, can’t even hold him in his hands; the baby can’t hug his father. As if these aren’t enough, the baby is facing new problems everyday.”
The kangaroo hasn’t been allowed into the prison
Yarkadaş stated that the tool that allows the mother to carry her baby called ‘kangaroo’ hasn’t been allowed into the prison. Yarkadaş said, “The laws, regulations and statutory decrees are being purveyed as justification and the kangaroo isn’t being allowed into prison.”
Yarkadaş reminded that the prison administration has seized the kangaroo and added “Allow that kangaroo into the prison.”
No baby wipes either
Yarkadaş stated that due to the regulations of the prison, baby Miraz can’t use baby wipes for the past 15 days and asked “The individuals who are responsible, do they have no moral conscience?”
Yarkadaş drew attention to the fact that baby wipes could only be retrieved from the infirmary and added “The doctor has to write a prescription for it. However a prescription itself doesn’t solve the issue. The pharmacy says they are out of baby wipes. And since the canteen doesn’t sell baby wipes, they can’t be retrieved.”
Balloon prohibition
Yarkadaş also pointed out that the ballon brought to the baby by his father, Cengiz Akbaba, wasn’t also allowed in prison and said “They said we will give him a balloon don’t worry, but they didn’t.”
Yarkadaş called out to the Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ and said “I am hoping that the honorable minister will think of solutions once he reads these.” Yarkadaş asked Bekir Bozdağ not to remain insensitive to the problems taking place in prisons.
The prosecutor that broke both of his arms was allowed a friend
On the other hand, CHP Istanbul Deputy Barış Yarkadaş stated that Prosecutor Muzaffer Bayram’s, who broke both of his arms while working out in prison, has been partially resolved.
Yarkadaş stated that someone was placed in Bayram’s cell after they made this issue public together with Şenal Sarıhan.
